![]() I like playing the western front the most with the bigger tanks but the games seem to come to a boil after four or five rounds after the premium antitank resources are exhausted for one side and then mopping up is just left for one player. Rulebook is tight and the aircraft are nice. Heroes of Stalingrad is the best product released to date because alot of effort has been put into bring the power down and the balance feels pretty good. I love the thunder of tanks and pak guns whaling on each other! The buildings and wreck vehicles make for such an interesting battlefield to winkle out the pockets of infantry from. There’s not a lot on this sub on this game (Stalingrad) so I thought I’ll put it out here so people can share their reviews and impressions on Heroes of Stalingrad. There’s not a lot of quality play through videos for this or it’s predecessor Heroes of Normandie but the reviews have all said that this is probably the only light war game which has the best ‘rules to depth’ ratio. Warfighter is brilliant and again it does require some investment in learning rules and edge scenarios but the gameplay is quite exciting and fun. It’s a great looking game but needs a lot of investment in learning the rules in detail and the game play was a bit too slow and uneventful for my group. Made a jump to Conflict of Heroes 3rd Edition. It started with Memoir 44 but the sheer amount of content, set up and set down time and the limited decision space meant I had to move on.
