The basic tools like a small stapler, punches and scissors, ink pads and stamp mounting blocks, and adhesive are already accessible and within arms reach as I stand at my desk. I shared all of this in the video above and it’s pretty fun to watch. I opened all of the packages and stored them by type in a vintage muffin tin I bought on Etsy years ago. HOW I’M ORGANIZING EVERYTHINGĪfter sorting through the entire kit, I set aside what I love and want to use this year - mostly just the embellishments. Use what you have.” is a recurring reminder in my life.Īs I was gathering my supplies, I also pulled out a few leftover embellishments from past years, as well as an older stamp set from Ali. While I am bringing in far fewer supplies than I have in past years, I'm not against purchasing product at all. I know from past experience that I like to stick with classic pieces I can use year after year, in colors and patterns that pretty much “go with” everything, because I know it will take me several years to kill this kit. ![]() This year I replenished my holiday stash with Ali’s main December Daily kit, along with the season of intention stamp set, wood veneer numbers and small rubber words. I worked from a couple of kits last year, but while digging through my holiday stash at the end of the summer, I found it to be quite depleted of paper (lots of scraps) and embellishments (just a few small pieces). I’ve only done this orientation once before, plus I love love love the color.Īs I looked back at my previous albums, I know I go in waves where I’ll use a curated kit and album one year, then use my stash and a handmade album the next. On top of my journaling tag I added the acrylic star + tag combo from the Star Mini Kit using a loop pin to the red twill. On the back of the felt heart I added a fa la la chipboard piece from a previous kit and also added one of the chipboard stars from the Star Mini Kit on top of the plus sign.Īlong the outside edge of the tag I added a "joy" tab sticker from the Sticker Advent Calendar. On both oranges I removed the foam adhesive before using rolling adhesive to attach it to the circles. The other orange (along the bottom) was adhered to one of the vellum circles from the Main Kit. On top of one orange I added the "02" for Story #2 and also added a "be joyful" rub on from Tim Holtz. I printed mine on photo paper first and then decided to print on laser transparency and run it through my Minc machine (ends up a clear circle with red foiled type).Īlongside the photos from Pinterest I added the oranges stickers from the Main Kit. I created a 2 inch title circle for my story and I've got it to share with you in case this is a story you'd like to tell too. It's one part visual inspiration and one part my own personal bucket list. You could also crop images out of catalogs and tell a visual story of what you are wanting from this season. Today's story includes photos from my Holiday Pinterest Board + other embellishments slipped into the back of the 2 inch x 2 inch page protector and a large tag from the Shipping Tag Bundle to document what I am looking forward to this month.
